How Can I Safely Evict Lizards from My House Siding?

I've noticed a gap at the bottom of my house siding that's letting in outside air, and it seems to have become a cozy home for bugs and lizards. I'm planning to seal it up soon, but I'd like to clear out any unwanted guests before I do. What's the best way to safely evict the lizards and any other critters living in there without trapping them inside?

One option could be using a bee smoker to drive them out. The smoke might encourage the lizards and bugs to scurry out without harming them. Just make sure to check if it’s safe for your house's exterior!
