I'm looking to install a handrail for my mom's exterior stairs, but I'm super worried about cracking the concrete when I drill into it. From what I understand, there are concrete blocks beneath the slate surface. Does anyone have tips or suggestions for a safe installation?

Instead of drilling directly into the steps, consider installing a wooden handrail alongside them. It could be a stronger and safer option, plus you won't have to worry about damaging the concrete! Just make sure it's secured well.

That sounds good! But how do I actually set that up?
