I recently had new flooring installed in my kitchen, and I'm a bit worried about moving my fridge back into place without causing any damage. My son and I are pretty strong and can lift one side of the fridge, but I want to be extra careful. What are some good tips or tools I can use to get the fridge from the living room (about 20ft away) back into the kitchen without messing up the new floor? Any advice would be appreciated!

Consider using some appliance straps. They go around your shoulders and under the appliance. It really helps you lift with your legs instead of straining your back. I used them for a heavy marble sink and they worked fine! Just make sure you adjust them for a good fit.
Furniture sliders are your best friend here! Depending on the type of floor you have, you can get those smooth plastic ones or the fuzzy kind. If you pair them with a 'Forearm Forklift' strap, it's much easier to carry and less likely to cause damage. They make moving bulky items so much easier!
You could use a scrap piece of carpet placed underneath the fridge, carpet side down. Just tip the fridge on its side and slide the carpet under, then you can easily slide the fridge back into the kitchen. When you get it in place, tip it back and remove the carpet. It really helps protect the floor!

That’s a great idea! Thanks a lot!
