I'm facing a bit of a crisis with my aloe plant and could use some help! I think it might have root rot, and I'm unsure how to properly care for it. What steps can I take to save it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your aloe might be suffering from root rot. A good first step is to gently lift the plant from its pot and check the roots. If they’re mushy or black, that’s likely the problem. Make sure to switch to cactus soil for better drainage and only water once a week. It’s better to underwater than to drown it!
You could try propagating a leaf! Just make sure it’s healthy and let it callous over a few days before planting it in some soil.

Thanks for the advice! If I've already trimmed some of the roots, do you think it’s possible to save it or is it too late? Also, can I propagate a leaf before it gets worse?
