How Can I Save My New Spider Plants?

So, I just got two spider plants from my mom, and I'm a bit unsure on how to take care of them. They seemed like they might be overwatered and fertilized, so I decided to repot them together to make the pot look fuller. I used Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil but kept the root ball intact. Is there anything I should change in my approach? Also, should I trim the leaves that have burned tips or the ones that are bent?

Spider plants are super forgiving, so don't stress too much! Even if they get neglected for a while, they usually bounce back. If you can, prune off any completely brown leaves or the ones that are broken—those aren't doing much for the plant. But honestly, they can thrive even with a bit of rough handling. Just keep water levels steady and you should be good!

Totally agree! I've had spider plants grow even when I forgot to water them for a month. They're really resilient if you give them a little care.

Thanks for the reassurance! I’ll be sure to keep tabs on the watering!

It's great that you're taking the initiative with your new plants! Keeping the root ball together is a smart move, just make sure the soil isn't too compacted around it. As for the bending leaves, they can still photosynthesize, so I would only trim those that are beyond saving. Pruning a little is always good for health, but don’t go overboard!

I appreciate that advice! I'll be careful not to overprune.
