How can I save my plants after accidentally overdoing it with urine?

So I tried giving my plants a boost by using urine as fertilizer, thinking it would be all-natural and efficient. However, I learned too late that it should be diluted with water—like, a lot more water—because it can actually harm the roots. Now, my poor plants are suffering and I need some advice on what I can do to help them recover. Should I just flood them with water or try something else?

Yikes! That’s a bold experiment for sure. If your plants are struggling, rinsing the roots with water can help flush out some of that strong fertilizer. You might want to do it in the bathtub or somewhere easy to manage since it can get messy. Just make sure you’re giving them fresh water afterwards!

Yeah, I’ve read that flushing with water helps. Just don’t use distilled water, as it can cause issues for plants in normal circumstances!

Funny enough, I believe epsom salt can help leafy plants. It might not fix the urine issue directly, but it could perk them up once you flush the roots. Hope they make it!

I had a similar issue with my plants getting peed on by my cat! Rinsing the roots is a great step. You might also consider repotting them into fresh soil if they don't seem to bounce back. Good luck!

Repotting sounds like a smart move! It gives them a fresh start. Just keep an eye on them after.
