How Can I Soundproof a Bedroom with Bathrooms on Two Walls?

We're moving into a new house and love the overall layout, but one of my kids' bedrooms has bathrooms on two walls, which is a bit concerning. One wall has a tub, shower, toilet, and sink right behind it, while the other wall has the primary bathroom's water closet along with a tiled area that seems to create an echo. I really want to minimize any noise coming from these bathrooms to ensure peaceful sleep for my child. Are there effective sound-dampening products that won't break the bank? I've looked into sound paneling but the reviews are mixed, and it could get pricey covering essentially two full walls. Would those be worth it, or is there a better solution out there?

Another approach is to hire a spray foam company to fill the wall cavities with soundproofing foam. It's a bit of a different technique but can be very effective!

Great idea! I'll consider reaching out to some foam insulation services.

One solid option is to double up the drywall on those walls. Just a heads up though, while it can be effective at cutting down noise, it might not be the cheapest route. The idea is to create a sound-dampening barrier by adding another layer of drywall, possibly with a sound insulation material in between. This increases the mass of the wall, making it a lot better at blocking sound.

Absolutely! You might also want to check out acoustic plasterboard for even better results, plus make sure to look into the insulation used in the wall cavity too.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check those options out.
