Hey everyone! I'm about to move out of my parents' house for the first time, and since I'm new to renting, I'm looking for some advice on soundproofing my room. I'll be sharing an apartment with three roommates, and I'm a musician. I want to record music at home without bothering them or the neighbors. I know complete sound isolation isn't possible, but I'd love some tips on how to muffle the noise a bit. Any suggestions?

First off, have you talked to your future roommates about your plans? It's good to have their input before you start with the soundproofing. You might also want to check if your neighbors are okay with some noise when recording.
