How Can I Soundproof My Studio Apartment for Streaming Without Major Renovations?

Hey everyone! I run a YouTube and Twitch channel and I need to stream and record several hours a week. I recently got a noise complaint from my upstairs neighbor who says I talk too loud, and the noise travels through the floor. I can't just stop my streams since this is my income, and I'm a bit stumped on how to reduce the noise. Since I rent my apartment, I can't make permanent changes like adding drywall. Any suggestions on how to soundproof my space would be super helpful! I've already talked to my neighbor, but she's not open to any agreements or compromises on my streaming times.

You might consider lowering your voice if it doesn't impact your streams too much, or maybe try mounting sound absorbing tiles on the ceiling. Just keep in mind that while they might help muffle the sound, they aren't a complete solution. If you're open to it, you could also think about building a small soundproof studio using plexiglass, although that can get pretty pricey. Best of luck!

Do those sound absorbing tiles actually work? I've read mixed things about how effective they are since they don’t block sound completely.
