Hey everyone! I just bought a freestanding shelf for my bathroom, and I'm loving it! However, I've run into a bit of a problem: my apartment's baseboards make the shelf stick out about an inch and a half from the wall. When I pull the drawer closed, it tips backward and hits the wall. I'm looking for ideas on what I could place between the shelf and the wall to stop it from tipping back. I saw some cushion products online, but they seem too thin to offer real support and would still risk the shelf toppling over. Is there anything thicker available, or does anyone have creative DIY suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I think I see the issue now. If your shelf has a backing like a bookcase, a solid fix would be to grab some wood that's the same thickness as the shelf, cut it to match the width, and attach it to the back. You could then screw it into the wall studs for a sturdy setup.

No backing on mine, but that's a solid idea! I wish I could share a picture to help visualize.
