I've been struggling with bunnies munching on my garden! They completely devoured my bean plants and really went to town on my pepper plants as well. I'm looking for any advice or strategies to protect my garden. This year, I tried planting some sacrificial kale and lettuce, but it seems they prefer the good stuff in my garden over those. Thankfully, my tomatoes are safe so far. I've sprinkled chili powder on and around the plants, but I'm not sure if it's doing anything. Any suggestions would be super helpful!

When I faced the same problem, I used dog fur! I was watching a dog and spread the fur around my plants, and it surprisingly worked to deter the bunnies, even after some rain. Just a thought if you have access to some dog fur—it might save your veggies!
Bunnies can be a real nightmare for gardens! A solid fence could work wonders—make it around 2-3 feet tall and bury the bottom underground to stop them from digging underneath. You might also want to try mixing castor oil with water as a deterrent, as the smell can keep them away. Plus, using wind chimes or motion-activated lights can scare them off since they're pretty skittish.
I've had success using insect netting! I built a little hoop house using some conduit and covered it with mesh. It keeps rabbits out and even helps with cabbage moths. It's fairly cheap and definitely worth considering. And about the peppers, it seems like they don't bother mine either, which was a nice surprise.
