How Can I Stop Weeds from Growing in My Rock Bed?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for effective ways to prevent any plants or weeds from sprouting in a rock bed surrounding my deck. It's about 2 feet wide and not only do I have flower pots placed around it, but I also have bird feeders that likely drop seeds into the rocks. I'm aiming for a serious solution to stop all growth until 2087 or so! Is there a chemical that can eradicate everything in the soil and keep new weeds from popping up? I'd prefer to avoid digging up the rocks and replacing the landscape fabric since the one I set down last year is already in terrible shape. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You might want to consider using a residual herbicide, or if you're up for a little exercise, get a flame weeder and make it a weekly routine! Personally, I love the flame weeder—it’s a unique approach that really gets the job done! Just be super careful around the deck, though!

Haha, I just ordered one too! But I keep thinking I might accidentally light my deck on fire. I guess life’s all about taking a few risks, right?
