I'm a relatively new gardener and I've just planted 10 asparagus crowns in my 12-square-foot raised bed. I've given each crown its own square foot to grow, leaving two squares for pollinator plants like marigolds. I'm aware that asparagus ferns can get quite tall and I'm concerned about them flopping into other beds and pathways. I'm planning to use wooden stakes and jute twine for support around the edges of the bed. My question is: Should I also add supports at the grid cross sections, or will boxing them in with twine around the edges be sufficient?

I've had a similar asparagus setup, and honestly, bamboo stakes and twine around the edges work just fine. The ferns are pretty light and fluffy, so you shouldn't have much trouble with them flopping over.
Just remember, if you're relying on the twine around the edges, make sure your stakes are set deep enough to hold up against the weight of the ferns as they grow.
As the asparagus matures, it can get quite heavy, so you might need to up your support game later on. Also, ensure the posts are tall enough to accommodate the growth over time!
