How Can I Tame Morning Glory Without Losing My Cool?

I've been really struggling with morning glory taking over my garden. No matter how much I pull it out, it just keeps coming back, and it's wrapping around my tomatoes and climbing fences. I know some people like the flowers, but it's invading areas I didn't plant it in at all. I'm looking for effective ways to control it, and I'm open to both organic and more aggressive methods if needed.

Honestly, the best way to fight morning glory is to stay consistent with manual digging. Chemical options don't work well because of their spreading nature; you’d just end up harming your soil. If you're dealing with bindweed instead of morning glory, you could consider herbicides. Just make sure to cut it back and treat any new growth early.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to pay attention to what I have—if it's bindweed, I might just have to go the chemical route.

You could try planting wisteria! It can outcompete the morning glories and might help keep them in check. Plus, it's a beautiful plant!

Bromide?! I’ve heard people mentioning it, but I’ve never tried it on morning glory. Anyone else have experience with that?

I just came from a really weird thread and your title made me chuckle for a second! But seriously, just keep at it with manual removal; you got this!

I've found that digging out the seedlings in the spring works best for me. Just stir up the soil a bit so they can’t take root again. I don’t mind them near my fence, but when they start messing with my tomatoes, it's game over! Good luck!
