How Can I Tell If My Garden’s New Plants Are Flowers or Weeds?

I'm starting a new garden bed and I'm a bit confused. How can I tell the difference between the new flowers growing from the seeds I've planted and any unwanted weeds? Any tips for identifying them?

If you're really unsure, why not post a picture here? The community can help identify what's what in your garden!

Good idea! I'll definitely do that once I'm home. Should've taken some photos first!

It's really all about patience! You’ll need to wait and see how the plants grow. Over time, you'll start to recognize what the weed seedlings look like, but it does take some experience to get used to it. Just be careful not to pull everything out too soon!

I've totally done that too—thought I was nurturing flowers only to find out they were weeds. It's quite the surprise! ?

I get it! I want everything to look perfect, but sometimes you just have to let things grow.
