How Can I Tell if My Toilet Seat Size is Small?

Asked By CuriousCat101 On

I'm planning to buy a new toilet seat at Home Depot tomorrow, but I can't seem to find any options online that fit my toilet size. I've done some research and it looks like my toilet might be on the smaller side, making it hard to find the right seat. Am I measuring incorrectly, or are these sizes really that rare? Toilet seats generally come in two main sizes: round and elongated. Yours definitely sounds like a round seat if it's on the smaller side. Just keep that in mind when you go shopping!

I feel you! Round seats can be a bit squished, especially if you're used to elongated ones.

It sounds like you might have a round toilet seat, which is typically around 16.5 inches. Home Depot should have both round and elongated seats, so you should be able to find one that fits! Just make sure to measure from the bolt holes at the back of the seat.

I just realized I was measuring from the base instead of the bolt holes. That makes so much more sense! Thanks!
