How Can I Temporarily Stop Mold Spores in My Bathroom?

I've been struggling with a serious mold allergy and I think reducing mold spores in my bathroom could really help me feel better. I'm currently planning to renovate my bathroom, but that requires a lot of money which I just don't have right now. Unfortunately, I can't easily access the mold because there's a big cabinet and a faucet blocking my way. Is there anything I can do in the meantime to tackle this issue?

To be sure there's mold, you could look for dark stains and a musty smell. Try cleaning with Borax; it kills mold and helps prevent future growth. Just make sure to do it dry without rinsing. That should help until you can get a proper fix.

I did check and found some black stains where I suspect mold might be hiding. Thanks for the Borax tip! I'll keep that in mind, even if I can’t reach those areas until that cabinet is moved.

If the mold is dormant, it won't produce more spores. The key is to deprive it of moisture; without that, it can’t thrive. So, focus on drying out the area as best as you can and eliminating water sources. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it. It's a bit tricky in my apartment because the ventilation isn’t great, but I’ll see what I can do about reducing humidity after my showers.
