How Can I Waterproof My Bathroom Floor Quickly?

Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a leak from my bathroom into the kitchen because my kids have a tendency to flood the floor. We've had the caulking fixed by a professional, but the problem is still there. Since we're in the middle of a kitchen remodel, we definitely want to avoid any water damage to the new kitchen. I'm looking for a quick way to waterproof our ceramic tile floor. I've even thought about using something like Flex Seal for the whole floor or maybe just giving my kids showers outside with the garden hose instead! Any suggestions?

Honestly, it sounds like the best solution might just be teaching your kids not to flood the floor. You can't completely stop water from finding its way to the low spots. It's really tough to completely waterproof a bathroom like that!

Haha, I completely agree! That's definitely the first thing I tried, but it's a work in progress!

You could reduce the water flow from your faucet so it's not overwhelming the sink’s overflow. That might help minimize leaks too!

Have you checked the gasket on the overflow? Sometimes, a loose overflow cover can cause leaks in the tub. It’s worth taking a look at!
