How Difficult is it to Change a Recessed LED Lightbulb?

I've recently run into a frustrating situation with my recessed LED lighting. The light has gone out, and I'm confused about how to change the bulb. I thought they were designed to clip in and out easily, but this one seems firmly attached to the metal box. There are two metal clips on the sides, but I'm hesitant to pull on them too hard because I don't want to damage the ceiling. I'm not sure what brand this light is, but does anyone have tips on how to swap out this bulb? Also, isn't it weird that these bulbs usually last so long? This one is only around 4 years old—could it just be a dud?

From my experience, you should be able to push those clippy things toward the metal box to release it and lower the fixture. I’m not 100% on your model, but that's typically how recessed lights work. You will need to make sure you're pushing on the clips right; otherwise, it could feel stuck. Once it’s down, you can access the bulb easily! Just avoid yanking too hard.

So the entire thing drops down, right? I just want to make sure it's not that I have to unclip the white part or completely replace the metal box. This sounds a bit more involved than just changing a bulb!
