Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to connect and control this camera I just bought for a project that needs a 20x optical zoom. I don't have much camera knowledge, and I found a datasheet that lists the interface, but the cables I'm finding don't match the pin count I need. I'd really appreciate any guidance on this. Thanks!

I can't post photos here, but I found the datasheet you mentioned. It looks like the camera has an RJ45 Ethernet interface. You should try connecting it to a PoE switch for power and data, then access the camera's IP through a web browser since it supports HTTP. That should get you started!
It’s a bummer when things don’t match up! One good tip is to check if the camera supports ONVIF; it’s a common protocol for controlling cameras. There are usually some ONVIF software options you can use, which might simplify things for you.
I looked around a bit and noticed this might be a Sony model, so it could be worth reaching out to the seller for help. Just a heads up, Reddit's not a replacement for thorough research, so it’s a good idea to gather all the info you can before diving in.
