I think I'm starting to have a gnat issue with my plants. I've already lost one and now it looks like another one is affected. I'm worried about whether these gnats can spread to all of my other plants. Are they contagious? And is there any way to save the plant that's struggling?

Yeah, gnats can definitely spread quickly since they fly around and lay eggs on different plants. If you've been dealing with them for about a week, there's a good chance that they’ve already laid eggs in your other plants too. A good solution is to use mosquito bits to help eliminate them. They’re pretty easy to find and just make sure to follow the instructions on the package.
I’ve had success using beneficial mites to control them. Honestly, I’ve never noticed fungus gnats doing any real damage; they mainly just annoy me. They usually eat fungi in the soil and if there aren’t too many, they won’t hurt your plants. But if there are tons of them, they might nibble on some roots. Just check if there's another pest problem happening as well!
I agree! I have a ton of gnats too and they haven’t harmed my plants, just a real pain to deal with. The OP should definitely investigate for other pests.
Try using a cheap bug zapper! You can find one for under $25, just put it in a bathroom with the lights off at night and gather all the affected plants there. After about three weeks, you should see a huge improvement!
