How Do I Effectively Clean Up Cement Dust After Removing Carpeting?

I just took out an old carpet and its padding from my bedroom, revealing a sealed cement slab underneath. While I was at it, I made the mistake of grinding off the tack strip nails, which created a huge mess of fine dust. I've already wet vacuumed the floor and wiped down everything in the room twice, but I still see a lot of dust coming up. I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is leftover cement dust settling from the air or just grime from the old carpet pad. What steps can I take to ensure I've cleaned up all the cement dust safely before I install new flooring?

One effective way to handle this is to set up a box fan with a regular air filter in front of it. Keep it running continuously until the air in the room feels clean. It really helps move the air and filter out dust particles.

CleanFreak22: I actually have a BlueAir 211+ running for a bigger space, but I'm surprised at how much dust is still lingering. Have you noticed the same?
