How do I find a remote control for my garage door?

I'm looking for a remote control for my garage door since the previous owners lost the original one. Opening the door manually every day is a hassle, especially with winter temperatures dropping to -30 degrees and getting stuck due to ice. I live in a newer suburban home built around 2015. What are my best options for getting a replacement remote?

You can easily find universal garage door remotes! Just check the make and model of your garage door opener, and doing a quick online search will show you compatible options. Amazon is a great place to start looking for one.

Yeah, I bought mine on Amazon as well! I searched based on the model of my garage door opener, and it worked perfectly. It's super convenient not to have to struggle with it in the cold anymore!

Thanks for the tip! I'll check Amazon for compatible models.

Online retailers like Amazon and eBay have plenty of garage door remotes available. Home improvement stores like Home Depot also might have what you need. Plus, don’t forget to check if your car has a built-in garage door opener too!
