How do I find a stud in my slanted wall for hanging plants?

I'm trying to hang some plants using a rope, but I'm having a tough time locating a stud on my slanted wall. I initially thought there was a stud on the edge of the wall, but it seems I was wrong. Here's a link to a photo for context: https://imgur.com/a/ioEztc6. Specifically, I'm looking for a stud near the left side of the image.

It sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle! Typically, those white dots should indicate where the studs are, so you might not just be hitting them. If it's not a load-bearing wall, it's possible that the dot near the ceiling just missed the stud behind. You could try using a wall anchor if you don't find a stud, especially if the plants aren't too heavy. Just make sure whatever anchor you buy can handle the weight you're planning to hang!

I totally get that! I checked those dots, and I was confused too when I couldn't feel the wood after drilling. I've been there! I think wall anchors are a solid choice, especially for something lightweight like plants. Just make sure to check the weight limit!
