I'm preparing for a home inspection for some improvements I'm planning, but I'm struggling to find the entrance to my attic. I've searched all over the inside of the house and I'm uncertain about what to look for outside. Any tips?

Looking at the ceiling can help too! Some attics have pull-down ladders directly in the ceiling. If you're totally stuck, just make sure whatever access point is necessary is arranged before the inspector shows up.
Have you checked your closets? Sometimes the attic entrance is designed to blend in, so it might look like a framed area with plywood instead of a glass panel. It's worth a look!
Don't forget to check your garage! Mine was hidden there, but it's easy to miss. If you can't find an opening, it’s possible they just didn’t create one and you might need to cut through the drywall yourself to get in. Just make sure to check before your inspection!
