How Do I Fix a Hole in My Wall Near Exposed Wires?

I have a 0.5ft x 1ft hole in my wall from an electrician who installed an electrical panel. A handyman told me he wouldn't fix it because it's too close to the exposed wires. I'm looking for advice on how to get this repaired safely. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks!

Honestly, that’s a pretty standard issue. Electricians and plumbers often leave behind some wall damage when they’re done. I can assure you that a competent handyman can handle this without any risk. Just make sure to call a few around your area, show them the picture, and you'll find someone willing to help!

Yeah, definitely! And if you have Nextdoor in your area, it’s a great place to find local recommendations!

Exposed wires can sound scary, but a good handyman should be able to patch that hole without much issue. It’s pretty normal for electricians to only focus on the wiring and leave wall repairs to others. I'd suggest taking a clear picture of the area and reaching out to a few local handymen to see who’s willing to take on the job. Don’t hesitate to post your picture on a neighborhood app for some recommendations too!
