I'm trying to figure out how to take apart and repair my USB switch, which has a solid aluminum body and plastic ends—no visible screws. From what I've gathered in another thread, it seems like the inner components aren't sliding out easily. I've tried pushing on both ends but didn't see any movement. I even gave it a gentle tap, but it seems like it might be glued to the case. Any suggestions on how to get this thing open?

I agree, it’s a hassle when things are glued shut. One thing you could try is applying a little heat to the aluminum case, just enough to soften any adhesive—it might make it easier to pull apart. Just don’t overdo it!
It sounds like your USB switch is pretty tightly sealed! Have you tried pressing on the side opposite the ports? Sometimes that can help loosen things up. If it feels glued, you might need to be a bit more forceful—just be careful not to damage it! Also, if you can, try to look for any tiny gaps or seams where you might start prying it open gently.
