How do I fix my butcher block finish that turned tacky after sealing?

I recently finished my new butcher block by applying tung oil, but I wanted a harder finish. After visiting Lowe's, I was advised to add an oil-based polyurethane on top, specifically using Minwax in semi-gloss. However, it's been over 24 hours, and the finish still looks awful and is super tacky. What can I do to fix this?

You may have applied the polyurethane too thickly. Try using a fan to help it dry out. It should dry eventually, though it can take some time.
