I'm struggling with neighborhood cats using my raised garden beds as litter boxes. It's quite frustrating, as they've already uprooted many of my seeds! I've been watering the soil daily to keep it moist, hoping that would deter them, but it hasn't worked as well as I'd hoped. I'm looking for effective ways to protect my garden from these furry intruders. I'd love to hear your suggestions, and if you have any pictures or info on costs, that would be great!

I use cheap green plant support sticks stuck in the ground. They create an obstacle that makes it hard for cats to dig or squat in my garden. You can even use old plant stems or wooden skewers if you have them. Just place them about six inches apart, and it should work well!
We had a similar issue until we covered our soil with fresh wood chips (which we got for free from my husband’s job!). Since then, our cat stopped using that area as a litter box. It's not just practical, it also looks nice! If you know a tree surgeon, ask them about free chips!
I found that placing fallen holly leaves around my garden beds works wonders! Cats tend to avoid those leaves, and it’s totally free if you have a holly tree nearby. Give it a shot!
I do the same! It's simple but super effective. Cats just can't find a comfortable spot to dig.
