I'm trying out the solo cup method to start my seeds this year, but I'm new to this whole gardening thing. I understand that keeping moisture is crucial during germination. I'm planning to use a warming pad and a grow light, but I'm curious about the best way to cover the solo cups while the seeds are germinating. Is saran wrap a good option? I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. Any tips would be appreciated!

I usually just pop a ziplock bag over the top of the cup—it keeps the moisture in nicely without being too tight. Once the seeds start to sprout, I take it off. Works great!
Plastic grocery bags can work too. Just drape it over the cup and it should hold in the humidity just fine! No need to overcomplicate it.
For me, saran wrap does the trick. Just remember to remove it once you see germination starting. This way, your seedlings can breathe!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll make sure to keep an eye on them as they sprout.
