How Do I Properly Charge EG4 Batteries Before Connecting Them in Parallel?

I've been told by SS that EG4 batteries need to be fully charged before I connect them in parallel to the inverter. What's the best way to charge them before I hook everything up? Should I charge each battery separately first before joining them together, or can I connect them all at once and charge them in parallel?

You can definitely charge them one at a time to ensure they’re fully topped up before connecting everything together. Just make sure your breakers are turned off, connect one battery, and let it charge to 100%. Then disconnect it and repeat with the next battery. Once all are fully charged, check that their voltages are within 0.5 volts of each other before connecting them in parallel.

I didn't worry about charging individually when I set mine up. I just connected all the batteries, including the communication cables, and it worked fine even though they came at about 20-30% charge. They charged up without any issues. But I've heard that charging them fully first is a good practice.

I've also seen that charging separately is recommended to avoid issues. Some folks skip that step, but ensuring they're all at 100% before connecting can help avoid any surprises down the line.
