I'm trying to figure out the right way to install the cross bars on my Husky storage racks for maximum support. I've gone through the instructions and watched several YouTube tutorials, but I noticed that no one seems to be inserting the bottom curved lip into the side rail slots. I really need this unit to hold a significant amount of weight, so I want to make sure it's done right!

I totally get your frustration! I had the same issue when I set up mine. I found that making sure the cross bars are positioned correctly before securing anything helps a ton. You might want to try placing them in a way that gives you the most support under the weight areas. Good luck!
I can't see exactly what you're dealing with, but when I built my metal shelves with cross bars, I found it helpful to attach everything to one side first, making sure it's secure. Then, you can easily connect the other side. That keeps it stable while you figure out the rest of the installation.
