I've got this opening under my garage that goes straight into the foundation. It's about a foot deep, 3-4 inches wide, and a foot long, sitting right below the siding. I'm worried about potential water damage to the foundation if I don't seal it off. What's the best way to close this hole? I've posted some images here for reference: [https://imgur.com/a/8GX6QGa](https://imgur.com/a/8GX6QGa)

Before jumping into suggestions, it’s crucial to figure out why that hole exists. Is it meant for ventilation or drainage? Understanding its purpose will guide how to seal it properly. If it's just an accidental gap, you can use some construction adhesive or a concrete patch to fill it up, but be sure to check for any moisture issues first.
I'd suggest checking if the opening is actually necessary. If it’s just a hole with no real function, you're definitely right to seal it up. Make sure to patch it with a concrete filler, and consider adding a water-resistant barrier over it. That way, you’ll prevent any water from seeping in and damaging your foundation.
