How Do I Remove Painted Wall Anchors Without Damaging My Walls?

I've just moved into a new house and I'm looking to paint my future office space. However, there's a wall with four wall anchors that have been painted over. They stick out quite noticeably and I'm not sure how to handle them. Is it possible to remove them without causing a lot of damage? If removal isn't an option, what can I do to make them less visible?

One way to deal with those sticking out anchors is to use a screwdriver to push them back into the wall a bit, then just patch over the area. It really is that simple! Really saves your walls from more damage too.

Thanks for the tip! Should I just use spackling compound to cover them, or do I need to put in a patch?
