How Do I Remove Stuck Window Screens?

I'm having a tough time removing the screens from my windows for replacement. The previous owners had kids who really messed them up. I managed to get one out but slightly broke another one—thankfully it's still usable. There are no pull tabs or springs to help. I've lifted the window, unlocked it, and made sure the screen locks are released, but no matter what I do, I can't get the screens out without using a lot of force with a flathead screwdriver. It feels like there's not enough space above the screens to pull them out. I'm looking for any tips or tricks to safely remove them without damaging the others. Here are some photos to give you a better idea: https://imgur.com/a/kpYrnlu

You mentioned the window slides up, right? Usually, you need to remove the screens from the bottom. It sounds like you're trying to take them out from the top, which might explain the trouble. Try pulling them from the bottom instead; that’s typically how it works. Give it a shot tomorrow!

Thanks for the advice! I was worried I might be doing it wrong since most videos I saw showed the top method. I’ll definitely try pulling from the bottom and see if that helps.
