I recently purchased some wood from a craft store, and it arrived with a wax coating. I'm looking for the best methods to completely remove this wax. Also, is there any reason I should worry about using this wood with my SawStop saw?

To tackle that wax, you can start by scraping most of it off with a putty knife. After that, a bit of mineral spirits will help clean up the rest. Just keep in mind that if the wood is green, it might be coated in wax to protect it from moisture. Also, definitely check the moisture content; too much moisture could trigger the SawStop's brake system.

Thanks for the advice!
