How Do I Replace My Bathroom Exhaust Fan with Light and Heater?

I'm dealing with a bathroom exhaust fan that has both a light and a heater option. Recently, it stopped working after making a loud noise. I want to replace it and continue having both heat and light. Are there any particular models you recommend? Also, I'm curious about whether I need to hire someone to help with installation since many fans seem square or rectangular without lights. Will they need to cut the drywall to fit the new unit? If you can't find an exact replacement that fits your current setup, yes, you’ll probably need an electrician to cut a new hole and create a funnel for the exhaust pipe. But if you can find a round fan that matches your old one, it could be a simple swap — just turn off the power, disconnect the old one, and reconnect the new with the same clips. If you’re unsure about wiring, definitely call an electrician!

Thanks for the info! I’m finding limited options for round fans. I’m considering this one which isn’t round: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Panasonic-WhisperWarm-DC-50-80-110-CFM-Ceiling-Exhaust-Fan-with-LED-Light-Night-Light-and-Heater-FV-0511VHL1/315266581?emt_ppr_vfpd. Do you think it can be installed?

The NuTone 9093WH is a solid choice for your setup! Instead of replacing the whole fan unit, you might want to just swap out the fan assembly, which is a lot easier. Check out this video for how to open it up: https://youtu.be/PtfcwUOuie8. The replacement fan assembly you’ll need is part number S69355000 — make sure to get the right one for venting and heating! You can find it on Broan-NuTone's parts site for around $131, or sometimes less on eBay. Good luck with it!
