Hey everyone, I just moved into a house that has an old Craftsman garage door opener, model 41A3066. It came with a huge remote, and I've also ordered two new remotes that should work with this model. However, I need some help resetting the keypad code. I've looked into the dip switch settings, but they don't seem to relate to the 4-digit code that opens the door. Any tips on what I should do? Thanks!

If you're really stuck, don't hesitate to call the manufacturer's customer service. They should be able to walk you through the process. Sometimes it's the simplest option!
If you're not getting anywhere, you might want to consider doing what's called a "radio learn" to input the dip switch settings, followed by an "access learn" to set the keypad pin to whatever you prefer. It's a bit old school, but it often does the trick!
To reset the keypad code, you usually need to put the keypad into pairing mode by pressing and holding a specific button combination. While doing that, don’t forget to press the button on the garage door opener itself as well. I think those dip switches are there for programming individual keypads, but the code itself should be set up through the keypad directly. Good luck!

I found a manual for that model online, and it talks about a learn button instead of focusing on the dip switches. Make sure to check that out—it could help clarify things for you!
