How do I set my Frigidaire dehumidifier to auto mode for humidity control?

I'm trying to figure out how to set my Frigidaire dehumidifier to automatically turn on and off based on the humidity levels in my room. It's supposed to do this, but I can't find the right settings. For instance, the humidity was at 60%, and then it dropped to 50% after running for about 5 minutes. I ideally want it to maintain that 50% level without running constantly since I want to avoid the stuffy air that builds up after we take showers in the morning.

You might be able to set it to turn on at a specific humidity, but double-check if your model has that option in the settings. Sometimes, dehumidifiers have a range they work within, so even if it drops below your set point, it might not activate again until the humidity rises significantly.

Check the manual for the specific instructions on how to set the auto feature. It should tell you how to program your model to maintain a certain humidity level. If you’re missing the manual, you might want to look up your model number online and see if you can find a digital copy.
