I've been struggling with some mental health issues and haven't been attending school lately. I've found myself spending a lot of time indoors watching TV and gaming, but I'm really interested in getting outside and trying my hand at gardening. The previous owners of my house had a nice flower bed in the backyard, but right now it's just overgrown with grass. I've read online that I need to remove the grass and add soil, but I'm feeling a bit lost on how to actually begin. Any tips to help me get started?

I think it’s important to ask yourself if you're genuinely interested in gardening or just doing it because it’s trendy. It can be rewarding but also takes commitment. Just make sure it’s something you really want to do!
The no-dig method is a great way to start! You can simply leave the grass as it is, place cardboard on top, and then add compost or soil on top of that. Just be sure to check which plants are suitable for your growing zone and climate before you buy any seeds or plants. Then, it’s time to plant!
Great advice! Also, don't forget to visit a local, family-owned nursery. They often have the right supplies and can offer helpful tips tailored to your area's climate.
I’ve actually wanted to give gardening a try for a while now, just haven't found the time until recently.
