I'm looking to replace my existing three-way light switch with a combination switch and outlet setup. The current three-way switch has two gold screw connections where I'm using black and red wires, and there's a black screw with another black wire. The new switch with the outlet has an extra black screw at the bottom for the plug and a white wire connection as well. Do I need to connect wires to these new terminals, or can I just leave them unconnected? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, if you're experienced with basic circuits, you might be okay. But mixing wiring for a three-way switch can get complicated. Just make sure you're following the right guidelines and connecting the neutral wire correctly for the plug to work. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you're feeling stuck!
It sounds like you might be venturing into tricky territory with this wiring project! Generally, you do need a neutral wire (the white one) for the outlet to function properly, so it's important to connect that properly. If you're unsure about the wiring, it’s always best to consult with a pro to avoid any electrical hazards.
