Hey everyone! I'm considering making the switch from gas to battery-powered trimming and I'm focusing on the DeWalt 20V model 922. One thing I'm concerned about is how to clean it since the motor head can't be washed off with a hose like a traditional gas trimmer. What methods are you using to keep it clean? Battery life is also a key factor for me, so any insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I don’t go overboard with cleaning. I just scrape off the packed grass every now and then, and it works perfectly fine. So don't worry too much about it! Plus, if you're transitioning, these battery trimmers can be great without being a hassle.
For cleaning, I use a bit of Simple Green cleaner along with a bristle brush that I attach to my drill. Then, I just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth. It keeps everything nice and tidy without much effort!
