I've been battling spider mites for years now, and while I use beneficial insects to control their numbers, I can never seem to fully get rid of them. Occasionally, I notice some plants struggling because of the pests, so I treat them with rubbing alcohol and Castile soap. I was wondering if there's more I could be doing? Has anyone successfully eliminated pests completely from their home collections? I have quite a few plants spread across multiple rooms.

I haven't had any pests in years! I give my plants a good shower every couple of weeks. It cleans them off and helps prevent pests. I also quarantine new plants to avoid introducing any issues. Plus, I mix my own soil, which I think helps keep gnats away!
I live on the 5th floor, which seems to help. I make sure to quarantine any new plants I bring home. I do get the occasional gnat from the soil, but I deal with those quickly.
One good tip is to water from the bottom and let your plants dry out between waterings. It can really help reduce the chance of pests sticking around!

Yup, I do something similar! I use a simple soil mix and add organic fertilizer every couple of weeks during the growing season.
