How Do You Remember to Water Your Succulents Without Overdoing It?

I've been growing succulents for a few years, but I still struggle with remembering their watering needs. Different types like lithops and echeveria have varying requirements, which makes it even trickier. I've tried phone reminders and spreadsheets, but they rarely work for me. Recently, I started using a chatbot from succulentscheduler.com, which reminds me when to water based on each plant's type and local conditions. It's been pretty helpful! I'm curious to hear how everyone else keeps track of their succulent care routines. Any tools or tips that really work for you?

I set a calendar reminder for every Wednesday to check my plants. I try to avoid overwatering, and I also use a moisture meter to gauge the soil moisture. Though some say they're not super accurate, it helps a lot more than guessing!

I love succulents specifically because they can handle some neglect. It's fascinating to see them perk up after a good soak! I'm a bit scatterbrained when it comes to tracking my plants due to ADHD, so I keep all my succulents on a grow rack with lights. It's hard to forget them when I pass by multiple times a day. I’ve figured out to only water when the soil is completely dry and I can visibly see they're thirsty. I’ve definitely learned from my overwatering mistakes in the past!

If you notice that your succulent's leaves are soft or wrinkled, that usually means they need some water. I've managed my large collection this way for about 6-7 years, and I’ve hardly lost any plants, especially to overwatering.

Totally agree! I also check by feel; if they're soft, they need water, and if they're firm, they're good to go! 923; but I only have a few plants, so it's easier for me.
