I'm trying to evaluate the quality of the Grizzly GO817 14" bandsaw versus a Craftsman 14" bandsaw. I'm looking for a good hobby-level saw for resawing lumber. There's an auction soon where both of these bandsaws will be available. I know Grizzly has a solid reputation, but I'm curious about just how much better it is compared to Craftsman. Will I really regret going with the Craftsman?

For resawing, you definitely want a bandsaw that accepts a 3/4" blade. If the Grizzly you’re eyeing has a 2HP motor and has that more square design, it's a powerhouse for resawing that outshines Craftsman models. Totally worth it if you can get it at the auction!
