I'm currently dealing with a heat wave since I can't use any electronic AC due to a breaker issue, and the temperature is hitting around 35°C. So, I decided to create a small DIY cooler using styrofoam for my 125 square foot (12 sqm) room. For those who have tried this before, how long did the cooling last for you? I'm planning to fill it with water bottles and ice. Thanks for your input!

Honestly, a styrofoam cooler might not be your best bet. The idea behind the cooler is to have it absorb heat from the room, which means you actually want it to not be very well insulated. Also, keep in mind that if your freezer is in the same apartment, it could end up raising the overall temperature instead of cooling it down. For this to work, you'll need to make or get ice from somewhere else.
If your freezer is located outside of the room, that helps a lot! It means you can effectively fill the cooler with ice and let it do its job. Just note that it may take quite a bit of ice to cool a room this size, so it might not last as long as you hope. Make sure to keep an eye on how quickly the ice melts!
