I've just purchased my first home, and I'm dealing with a faux brick backsplash in the kitchen. I'm curious about how challenging it is to get this removed. Will I need to do any repairs afterwards, like replacing or re-drywalling?

Removing a faux brick backsplash can be pretty tricky! Most likely, you'll end up damaging the top layer of drywall during the process. In my experience, I've only managed to take it off twice without ripping it, so repairs are almost a given. Just be ready for some patching work afterwards!

Yeah, I get what you mean! I can handle some minor repairs, but I'm really hoping I won't have to replace the drywall completely.
