How I Keep My Lawn Healthy: Tips Needed!

Hey everyone! I have a small garden of about 420 square meters, and I'm learning to take care of it. I wanted to share my routine and hear from anyone with experience if there's room for improvement. Here's what I'm currently doing to maintain my lawn:

- **Mowing:** I mow once a week, aiming to keep the grass height around 5–7 cm, which I think is a good balance for health.
- **Watering:** I usually water it 2–3 times a week, either in the morning or evening, trying to keep the soil moist but not soaked.
- **Weeding:** I pull out larger weeds by hand and use an eco-friendly weed killer for the tougher ones, avoiding chemicals when possible.

**Tools I'm Using:**
- **Lawn Mower:** I recently purchased a Goat O500, which has been great for my small yard, even with the tricky paths.
- **Oscillating Sprinkler:** It works well for my rectangular lawn, distributing water evenly.
- **Manual Fertilizer Spreader:** This helps me control my fertilizer usage, and I find it super helpful.

Are there any lawn care tips you'd recommend? Also, I'm looking for advice on maintaining my mower. Thanks a lot!

I've got the Goat G1-800 and keep mine in good shape too! Key things are maintaining the battery and checking the blades for rust. I charged it over winter and stored it properly, and now it’s working just as well as when I first got it. Still runs strong, so I recommend keeping an eye on those details!

I also have a manual fertilizer spreader, and I love it! My lawn's been getting a bit wild lately, so I'm thinking about getting a mower as well. You mentioned your mower is good with tricky areas—how does it handle the edges? Does it really work without needing boundary wires, or is that just wishful thinking?

It maps the edges first, then mows by following that path. As long as the signal is strong, it stays on course. No need for boundary wires, which is super convenient!

You might want to check out a more specialized lawn forum since this place tends to focus on diverse gardening. Just a thought!
