I have a Laguna B|Flux dust collector with a rating of 650 CFM and 1 HP. I'm curious about how long of a run I can have with 4" hose. What is the maximum distance I should aim for to maintain good airflow?

It's best to keep your flex hose runs as short as possible. Flex hose really reduces airflow, and while a 4" rigid line is ideal, it might only support about 400 CFM under perfect conditions. With a 1 HP motor like yours, you're somewhat limited in airflow capacity. So, if you can, use rigid lines and include blast gates to control unused branches for better efficiency.

Thanks for the info! I already know that 10' should be fine, but what's the actual maximum length I could push it further?
