Hey everyone! I need some advice. I have a lot of walls to paint—three rooms in total—and I'm planning to use a roller. I estimate it'll take me about 2 hours to get it all done. Is it feasible to use the same roller for that long without it drying out? I know I need to keep the paint tray moist, but I'm curious about how long the roller can last while I'm painting continuously. Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks!

If you need to take a break while painting, just wrap your roller in plastic wrap without squeezing out the paint. This keeps it wet and ready for when you continue!
I had no idea about this trick, it took me forever to figure it out!
As long as you keep the roller covered with paint, it can last indefinitely (well, until your paint runs out). I recommend skipping the messy wrap and just covering the roller in a bucket of paint with a damp cloth over the top. If you're not using it for more than a day, a damp towel followed by a plastic bag works well too!
Yeah, keep it simple! You don’t want to deal with cleanup from the wrap.
I totally agree! Just make sure it’s moist enough!
A quality paint roller can last for months if you clean it after each use. Between coats, just wrap it in plastic to prevent the paint from drying out. I also like to use a damp towel over the tray to keep the moisture in!

A plastic shopping bag works just as well. Just make sure it’s as airtight as possible!
